Do you like to read stories about sex? Do you have a couple of favorite, dog-eared stroke books lying around? If so, you’ll be hard before the sex ever starts in this set of four vignettes from Michael Lucas. Like the discs before it, Encounters 5: Burning Desire brings to life those fantasies of hooking up with the hot guys you hang out with on the weekend, or see in the gym, or meet while traveling.
You won't find any groundbreaking sexual acts, but it's the context that sells these scenes; these are the fantasies guys have been jerking off to since the invention of puberty. In the first encounter, tall, model-handsome John Lamb returns home after a night of partying, accompanied by his too-drunk-to-drive straight friend, played by series regular Wilson Vasquez. While Lamb goes off to get pillows for the sofa, Vasquez takes off his shirt, calls his girlfriend and starts talking dirty.
Vasquez pretends to have passed out when Lamb returns, but he deliberately leaves his verga sticking out of his boxers. When Lamb tries to helpfully pull off his guest’s jeans, he’s surprised in the best possible way. Lamb stares at his friend's thick, throbbing tool, obviously wanting to touch it but trying to hold back. Finally, after more self-control than any man should have to exert, he leans over, gently pulls back the tight foreskin, and licks the pink head.
If you’ve ever had a fantasy about your straight friend getting drunk and fucking you one night, this scene pushes a lot of the right buttons. Vasquez plays arrogant, horny, and drunk convincingly. After he fucks Lamb in multiple positions on the sofa Lamb says, "I've been wanting that for a long time," and Vasquez smirks and replies, "I know."
The last encounter is the classic bellboy seduction fantasy. Jason Ridge makes for a perfect surly businessman, and Jonathan Vargas plays the cute, boyish, and conflicted hotel employee who doesn’t want to get fired, but does want to get Ridge out of his suit. Vargas is a great bottom—he grunts and winces as Ridge slowly pushes his dick into him, then starts to gasp and look over his shoulder once Ridge really gets going. And, Ridge’s macho attitude makes for a perfect counterpoint when it’s his turn to get fucked with Vargas’ thick and straight cock.
As expected with Lucas films, the production values are admirable. My only complaint is the soundtrack, which consists of a lot of light, jazzy, “sensual” music whenever the sex starts. Who fucks to a saxophone? I don’t want to meet him. However, you can turn off the music and watch the film sans soundtrack, which is something I wish every porn flick would offer.
A lot of the power of this series—I mean, aside from the ginormous dicks on at least one guy in every scene—is that they capture the sexual energy that builds up in the moments right before sex happens—the kind of sex between friends or with some guy you just met. If you’re the kind of viewer who enjoys the build-up to the act and the fantasy surrounding it as much as the act itself, then Encounters 5: Burning Desire is definitely worth checking out.
