Jackrabbit releasing is a fairly new company. I had never even heard of them before I was handed this movie to review, but off the back I have to congratulate them on being one of the first porn production companies to get hot superbottom Dean Monroe on film. Unfortunately he’s not in Downtown Men, which is a movie consisting of five vignettes. For whatever reason a summary of each vignette is scrolled along the bottom. The summaries actually turn out not to be that distracting although the word cliché best describes them. Here’s one for example: “There is something about a sling that turns men on. Is it the rawness of it, a suspended act of submission? You just lie there and take as much dick as you can. There no room to run and nowhere to hide. You are there for the taking.” Who needs visuals when you have such word foreplay to bring you to climax?

The summary goes on to describe the scene, which is a three way between three very different men. Azor is tall, dark and ruggedly handsome. Scott Adams looks like a cute, circuit party going, gym rat. While Manny gives off the impression of being the edgy college student lucky enough to walk into a sex club and on the same day as the other two. This scene is by far the best in the movie.

All the men are attractive and vary enough from one another to please anyone out there. The sex is hot and looks authentic and there’s a touch of naughtiness to the scene. I’m not just referring to the sling, Adams slides a humongous dildo up Manny’s ass. It glistens and even drips with lube as Adams pushes and pulls it in and out all the while Manny has a smile pasted on his face.

A close second on the hotness scale is the fourth scene in the film, where Carlton Thomas and Chance Davis progress from being workout buddies to fuck buddies. I know some people will disagree with me choosing this as my second favorite scene. Neither men stop traffic, their looks are cute at best, neither has a third leg waiting to pop out, but there’s something to be said for realism in porn. These guys look like men who would actually work out at my gym. They look attainable. What’s hotter than watching men that you feel you could actually have a chance of getting yourself? It’s surely a lot easier for me to imagine myself turning the couple into a threesome. When Thomas was plowing Davis over the sit up machine I could literally imagine myself there watching it happen.

I know the scene with Joseph Dragon and Shawn Jamieson was visually hotter, basically Dragon and Jamieson make a better looking couple than Thomas and Davis. I just couldn’t get over the annoyances of this scene. First it seemed as if Dragon must have asked Jamieson if he “liked that big dick” every three seconds. I was so annoyed with his repetition of this comment that my finger began to gravitate towards the fast forward button. Second, there was a verbal moan that was extremely frequent and it seemed not to come from either actor most of the time. It reminded me of how Jason from Friday the 13th sounds when he’s breathing from behind his hockey mask. Now who the hell can keep a hard-on listening to that?

For the most part, Downtown Men is an enjoyable flick, especially considering the reality porn aspect. Hot men from my local gym in grinding hot action over workout machines? What's not to like! Take your first opportunity to pick this one up.
