Hey gang, this will be a short review because of the holiday season. This time, we’re talking about Double Shocker: Vol. 1 by Bad Seed. When we got our hands on this film, we were expecting an extravaganza of sex, including mad-crazy DP scenes, and were certain that it would be wild. The film does deliver on the promises listed on the DVD cover, but as the saying goes, “it’s all in the presentation.” With all of the sex that is going on in this film, you would think that it would be so hot that you need oven mitts to hold the box. We are sorry to say that this isn’t the case with this one. Despite the vast amounts of sex in Double Shocker, there is no energy in the movie; no heat in the scenes. In other words, the sex scenes are very dry and mundane. While Max enjoyed looking at the hot women, especially Lauren Phoenix, I didn’t get into the men too much, and more importantly, I was turned off by how dull the women were acting. They did not seem to be getting into the sex in this one. The biggest evidence of this was that none of the women even pretended to cum during the sex. It was as if the women were just servicing the men to get them off. The scene would start, the men shot their loads and the scenes ended. Max wasn’t too happy with that either. Worse yet, while most of the film consisted of gonzo scenes, the one with Lauren Phoenix just made things worse. Not even she could save this one. It starts off with two guys walking up to her and asking her to participate in a “research experiment” on double penetration. The whole thing seemed plastic and contrived. They should have remained consistent, showed an intro with her, and then moved into the sex scene. To quote Max, “Chicks with accents talking dirty are supposed to be hot as hell.” The first scene with Alicia Rhodes should be just that. You can hear her constantly saying dirty things with her English accent, but despite that and her taking three cocks at one time, the scene still doesn’t deliver the heat and energy that should come from something like this. All in all, we are going to have to give Double Shocker: Vol. 1 two stars. The women are nice to look at, but this is another one where you should keep one hand on the remote (specifically the fast forward button) and let the other one wander where it will.
