This reviewer has to admit his own guilt. When he was in high school, he created, collected and coveted mix CDs. Not just for his girlfriend, and not just for himself, but for every possible occasion: parties, road trips, generally just to commemorate events of possible importance. When he would go to music festivals in the late 90s, he would always pick up the free concert sampler. It was usually a CD manufactured at the lowest possible cost with four tracks from the headlining bands, followed by a dozen tracks from the lesser, second-stage bands. Every once in awhile, one of the tracks of these promotional mixes would matriculate into a “driving to work mix” and forever be crystallized in the general mix collection.

All this was during the CD-R burning phase, when MP3 technology was just being birthed into a Compact Disc dominated market. Now, in the iPod culture, mix CDs have been abandoned in favor of 60 GB, portable hard-drives that have revolutionized the way we mix and share our music.

Zero Tolerance’s Cumstains series is essentially a mix CD of the other themed franchises Zero Tolerance hosts. Cumstains 8 is comprised of 86 segments, all a little over a minute long, taken from series like Gaper Maker, Fishnets, Striptease then Fuck, POV Centerfolds, Grand Theft Anal, Teenage Jizz Junkies, and a very generic series of foot fetish films called Tic Tac Toe. Each scene jumps right into the tail end of the action for about 30 seconds, followed by a cumshot, then a quick cut right into the next scene. It’s enough to make your head spin.

The DVD, in comparison with other porn films, gives a great variety of different short vignettes. Multiple partners, nylon stockings, cum-swapping, anal: they’re all represented in at least one clip. Although there are no clips involving interracial couples, the white and Hispanic women are all fairly attractive. From scanning their website, it’s clear that Zero Tolerance has a fair number of up-and-cummers on contract, and they all make brief showings on the DVD. The peak is the cover girl Jenna Haze, whose scene from Grand Theft Anal 9 is towards the tail end of the DVD. With enough make-up and a high pitched voice, Jenna is the bad-ass twenty-something that is always just out of reach for normal guys. Watching her ass-to-mouth clip whets the appetite for more Haze.

Cumstains 8 is an enjoyable, fast-paced porn with lots of variety, but it’s far behind the technology curve.
