Tiana Lynn is a pretty star with two years of industry experience, a hot bespectacled look, and a verbal streak that sometimes gets nice and filthy. If she keeps talking in future films, she may get a niche going.
Too few porn folks limit themselves to the small bag of phrases that comes with the territory, and (for my money and petroleum jelly) if somebody can spew a hefty flow of nasty ideas into the air on cue, I’m buying her movies. Tiana Lynn isn’t there yet, but there’s talkie potential: “Wanna see me suck some Daddycock?”
She’s also a squirter, as the title suggests. So there’s the fun of a big mess, the uplifting spectacle of a woman riding her orgasm into a gush of physical evidence, and the sheer quirk of a man-like orgasm blasting out of mademoiselle.
The vignettes in Cum Rain Cum Shine are strung together using the old diary business – the starlet pretends to scribble in her little book while narrating the transitions from one scene to the next.
The best scene is near the middle, when 1990s veteran Randy Spears plays the father of Tiana Lynn’s boyfriend. She seduces the 43-year-old handsome devil in a high-tension exchange across his living room when his “son” is supposed to be home “any minute.”
In addition to his movie-star looks and sonorous voice, Spears is a pretty good sitcom actor (author Violet Blue sings Randy’s praises in her XXX Files column of April 2001, “There’s Something About Randy”) and here he plays reluctant for long enough that you almost believe he’s tormented by ambivalence.
So when he gives in to Tiana’s nasty phrases and feminine fingers (not to mention her cute, weird-shaped nose), it generates some heat.
The disc loads easily and comes with all the usual amenities – photo gallery, chapter by chapter access, trailers, and a snoozey but genuine run of interviews behind the scenes.
There’s even an interview between Collins and Lynn in which she shoots a squirt onto his desk from a seated position several feet away. It includes the surprising admission that she first made herself come at age 20, about a year before the shooting of this film. So she’s making up for lost time.
