The most interesting thing I can say about Commando is it's the first porn I've seen where everyone speaks in fluent Hungarian. The movie begins when a captain from an elite unit (Christian Keller) comes to visit a seven-man troop of mechanics to announce that he'll be inspecting them the next morning to handpick his next commando. This prompts soldiers Felix Porter and Austin Rogers to go back to their barracks—which looks an awful lot like a campgrounds cabin—so they can make their camp bunkbeds. Almost immediately, they're playing grab ass and kissing.

Although Felix Porter has the right sort of all-muscles body and big dick, he doesn't possess the superstar charisma and sex appeal of porn A-listers, at least not in this movie (it may be entirely the director's fault). He sucks dick like a prototype of a blowjob machine, bopping his head mechanically and too fast on Rogers' dick, then trying to suck it more slowly before giving up and resting for a minute—then, bop bop bop again.

The bigger letdown is that when Rogers tops Porter's fine, lightly hairy ass, he doesn't seem willing to sink fully into him. It's like he's fucking him with only the top third of his dick the entire time. He starts pushing further in as he gets more into it, but it still seems like a bit of an amateur scene for two guys who are not amateurs.

A better scene involves the commando captain and an eager-to-please soldier (Gabor Szeles) with hairy forearms and light brown hair on his legs. Szeles blows Keller, then leans back against a jeep so Keller can fuck him. Both this scene and a later one take place outside, so if you're into sex-in-nature scenes, they're somewhat appealing.

The most important problem with the movie, ultimately, is that most of the sex just isn't much fun to watch. All of these guys are kind of rough with each other, and not in a leather way, but in a weird amateur way, like they haven't had sex on camera before and are trying too hard to appear aggressive. What's worse is almost every scene repeats the exact same positions in the same order, creating a sense of sameness that even porn doesn't usually suffer from.

The music mix is pretty awful, too—early on in the film, there's a sudden burst of electronic noise that sounds like the climax to a song, but it doesn't match anything on screen and fades out again. This weird "scoring" happens a few more times in the movie and never begins to make sense.

One of the hidden gems in this movie is Josh Lovas, who appears as “Lucio Maverick” in Lucas Entertainment's Uncut Cock Pool Party along with fellow Commando star Christian Keller. Lovas has a great body and a great dick and is an aggressive top, but both he and Keller are put to much better use in Pool Party—if you like Lovas at all, you should check out that movie instead.
