There’s really nothing carnal about Carnal Choices but I’m here to give it a go. First of all it never appears as if any of the performers in this movie is engrossed in the action. The performers who are paired up with one another have little to no chemistry. Don’t get me wrong they’re all pretty faces, but I don’t watch porn for pretty faces. I watch porn to see pretty faces giving an exquisite blowjob or contorting due to the pleasure it’s receiving. The scenes tend to go through the same routine of kissing, blowjob, mild ass play, and fucking, and gives Choices a lackadaisical feel, because it never raises the bar.
Maybe Chad Donovan’s intention for this film was to let the guys do what comes naturally without all the theatrics of a porn movie. Gay adult film staples such as the obligatory odd anal position as well as the lustful hunger of the actors' play with one another is nonexistent in the film. This movie lacks flair.
Rod Daily and Antonio Madiera start off the action. Daily and Madiera customarily swap blowjobs. When it comes to the anal action Daily and Madiera flip effortlessly. There’s just little enthusiasm, although I must say that I also didn’t get the sense that the performers were just pushing through to get the scene over with.
Jake Havoc runs into Jason Harley and Enrique Velazco and invites them inside to have some fun. Havoc has one of the biggest and thickest cocks I have seen in a while and Velazco has a challenging time attempting to wrap his lips around it, but boy does he try. Velazco gets it from both ends from Harley and Havoc, who trade spaces half way through.
Harley and Patrick Ross partake in a scene that is mostly unremarkable. Both men are incredibly attractive, but there’s no sense that they find each other incredibly attractive.
Ross teams up with Dallas Adams to bring us the fourth and final scene. Adams was the actor I most wanted to see get down and dirty, but there’s nothing here that we haven’t seen in the prior scenes of the film. Camera angles also add to the overall dilemma Of Choices. I’m as mush a fan of close ups as the next porn fanatic, but I also enjoy full body shots of the guys as they are fucking. I want to see the train entering the tunnel and the look on the actors face as it’s happening all in the same shot. There are too few of these.
Here’s the bottom line. If you like your men stereotypically attractive, repetitive sex scenes and adult movies in which rimming is the raunchiest of acts then this movie is a must have. CarnalChoices
