It’s an idea long overdue: Gay Blind Date is a hardcore homage to reality television’s brilliant series Blind Date, only the five dates captured here all end on a high note.

The first pair we follow are Wiley and Rocky, terrible actors (only a fool would mistake this for a documentary) whose date is, as such dates tend to be, an excruciating affair. The lads make small talk over a cheap dinner, then head home (whose home is unclear) where they strip down to reveal thoroughly average bodies, but their passion as they lick nipples and stroke dicks is passably above average. The boys take turns fucking one another, and the scene goes on for a bit too long before the boys get off.

Austin and Diablo are more handsome, and their small talk decidedly sexier. They go to a sex shop on their date, and end up at a hotel, where Austin heroically tries to swallow all of Diablo’s massive cock before taking the monster up his asshole. This scene seems real, as getting the cock into the asshole proves tricky and requires many false starts, though things work out (lucky Austin moaning like a dog) in the end, no pun intended.

Jock boy Moose picks up Tony at his house and grins like a fool throughout their lunch date, clearly ready for some action. That’s just what he gets back at Tony’s place: a mouth full of cock that seems to make this young soldier stud very happy. Things get so urgent that Tony perches on the back of his couch like an acrobat, putting his asshole square on his partner’s mouth, but the cheap porn soundtrack and unflattering lighting undercuts the passion.

Asian boy Danny and young stud Duncan are the next duo. Both these two have lazy Southern drawls, but there’s nothing lazy about what happens back at Danny’s place, Danny using his mouth to get Duncan’s dick nice and stiff. Duncan wastes no time getting into Danny’s willing asshole and another blind date ends successfully, though I admit that I actually worried about Danny: he takes it up the ass like a pro, but he seems fragile. Did Duncan break his heart? I hope not.

Blonde cutie Ashten and bald stud Michael are the final (and by far best-looking) couple. After some pizza, they head to Michael’s pad where the tour ends up, predictably, in the bedroom. Michael takes charge and is naked in seconds, his dick down slim Ashten’s throat. The two kiss passionately, and Michael rubs his body along his young partner’s, getting his dick rock hard. Their bodies are sexy and the sex greedy and passionate – I was actually eager to see Michael fuck Ashten, a good measure of the success of this particular pairing.

This movie lacks the humor and wit of the television series that inspired it though, cleverly, the dates are punctuated with commercials. I know it’s just porn dressed up as something else, and while it’s a solid effort and bound to please those who love watching amateur, everyday guys fuck on film, this movie, like most blind dates, left me feeling unfulfilled.
