Auditions 7: Barcelona is obviously the 7th installment in Michael Lucas’ popular Auditions series. The filming of this movie coincides with the filming of Lucas’ Barcelona Nights in which many of the same performers from this film appear. Seven is the first in the Auditions series to take place outside of the United States. Auditions began as Lucas Entertainment’s attempt to satisfy the budget conscience customer. I would assume this is no longer the case since the average price for this most recent film isn’t priced significantly lower than any other Lucas film. So don’t expect a bundle of savings. What you can expect is hot guys having hot sex.

The threesome of Wilfried Knight, Milan and Ross is the best example of what this series does best. It gets hot guys together to have hot sex without the heavy-laden plot that usually propel a Lucas production. Like all the other scenes it begins with our threesome sharing information about themselves. This scene is the stand out, because these men are hot as hell and are eager to fuck each other senseless. All three men are extremely versatile which only makes the scene ripe with anticipation wondering who was going to fuck whom.

Milan, who is the grand discovery of Lucas’ little excursion to Spain, has a scene with first time Lucas performer Leo. Milan is more passive in his threesome, but becomes surprising aggressive in this scene. He gives Leo the most relentless pounding of the film and Leo loves every moment of it. Leo stays as hard as steel throughout the entire time Milan’s 9.5-inch cock is up his ass.

Watching extremely cute twink Fransisco, who resembles Orlando Bloom, lying between bears Edu Boxer and Manu Maltes is enough to get the blood flowing. There’s nothing that etches itself into my memory more than the contrast of Fransisco’s thin virtually hairless body wedge between the hairy muscles of Boxer and Maltes who tag team him. The sex doesn’t necessarily reach boiling point, but watching this twink take on two masculine bears voids that problem. This scene is definitely mind over matter.

The biggest issue I have with this film is that the scenes look to be clumsily edited and the actual sex appears to have been cut short. I feel as if many things I would have liked to see were left out. For example, one minute Leo is face down with his ass in the air getting it played with by Milan and the next second he’s sitting on Milan’s cock. In prior films of this series there was more of a continuous feel to the filming. The cuts here are very bumpy and distracting. The other issue I have with this film is that the interviews with the performers are way too long. I don’t want to sound like an asshole, but extensive interviews with performers should be kept as bonus material.

Overall, Auditions 7: Barcelona may not be the best in the series, regardless it is still a joyous romp. Although it does feel abbreviated I still would recommend this film. Michael Lucas knows how to make a porn and even when he’s not at his best he is still light years ahead of many of his competitors.
