Ariana Jollee is one of a growing number of porn starlets trying to capitalize off the name recognition of Angelina Jolie. None of them are anywhere near as sexy as the original. Just the thought of the real Angelina Jolie doing hardcore is enough to make the average man unload in his shorts. Since that will never happen, we have to do deal with the knockoffs. Unlike the other wannabes, Ariana Jollee has managed to rise to the status of a featured star. In Ariana Jollee Fucks the World, she actually receives credit for shooting, directing and producing. After watching this, I am left wondering if she is even all that proud of it.

I’m a veteran at reviewing porn and I understand that the average viewer isn’t at all interested in lighting or makes much of a deal about the screenplay. The occasional boom mike or flubbed line is by no means an indicator that a particular DVD is crap, but there’s only so much I can take. In the couple of segments where Ariana Jollee is featured, her partner does the shooting. When he holds the camera, he doesn’t seem to be really looking through the lens. Whatever action that is going on is missed or cropped. That is too bad because Jollee’s great blowjob skills are displayed in the opening segment and her partner has an immensely sized cock. In certain positions he has to put the camera down and when that happens, heads get cropped and furniture gets in the way of the shot. The DVD really gets annoying when the low quality of the video used to record it begins to show.

Things actually pick up when Jollee is behind the camera. We don’t get any of the glaring errors that I mentioned before, but it is obvious that Jollee is a novice at behind-the-camera work. With only one camera being used, there is little variation in terms of shots. She doesn’t zoom in on the action to get any close-ups, nor does she even move around the room much to get better angles.

The performers who appear in the DVD shouldn’t be blamed for such a mediocre movie. They have little direction. No one is telling them where to go, which direction to look at, or what to really do exactly. Jollee herself is a pretty damn good performer. She knows how to give as well as take a good fucking. It’s unfortunate that her vehicle doesn’t accurately depict her skills as a performer. If anything, this DVD shows that she is no where near the auteur that the multiple credits she has in this movie implies.

When matched to other films starring Ariana Jollee, this DVD pales in comparison. Compared to other Brazilian porno, this movie is vastly inferior. When contrasted with films starring the real Angelina Jolie, you’re better off whacking to Mr. And Mrs. Smith.
