Are We in Love follows in the tradition of Perfeect Life and a host of others in Wicked's reportoire of titles that explore carefully selected relationship oriented themes plaguing the adult conscience. Kelly Kline plays the happily married housewife to real life encarnation of her school teacher fantasy - Chris Cannon. The trouble in her dream marriage made real is that hubby has recently taken on a new job, and has increasingly less time to spend with her, even answering the phone during sex.
The back story is revealed during the bath scene between our leading talents. Kline and Cannon find themselves preoccupied about the future, especially after his failed first marriage, and Kane attempts to reassure him, relating her feelings about being hot for teacher in his community college class ooooh so long ago. There's a flashback to a freshman Bio 101 lecture where she daydreams masturbating herself in the back of the classroom, then runs forward to engage Cannon's short range artillery in an impromptu BJ in front of the class. Gia Paloma patented gag effects punctuate her swallowing his cock, and the rest of the class, apparently tuned into the day's theme, simply continues taking notes.
Lori Alexia brings us back to the film's focus, relating how she cheated on current boyfriend Tony Tedeschi in a flashback scene with interloper Niko atop a finely tooled leather couch. Kline's overactive imagination gets the best of her later on in the film as she co-opts the carpenter redoing the interior into a daydreamed energetic, forceful fuck on an ambiguously placed red velvet chaise. Our man finds the best tool for the job below his belt and uses that hammer all day long.
Hubby comes home to find his young wife masturbating in the construction area and after much discussion and promises to resolve all issues, both parties reconcile their differences and there is a loving, sensual, makeup sex scene, complete with flowing, artistic fly-over shots and candle-lit closeups that give us perfect views of the action.
Be sure to watch for the anathema of Justine Joli and Nadia Hilton in a kitchen centered girl-girl scene that doesn't get a great deal of explanation. However, any opportunity we get to savor Joli's deliciousness, frying pan or not, is reason enough to cause a Pavlovian response.
