Dramatically themed adult films are not as common as they used to be in the 70s and 80s. Considering that, the two of us found Hustler Studio’s Aphrodisiac a refreshing change of pace. Director Jerome Tanner worked on this adult take on the classic treasure hunter film, starring Evan Stone as adventurer Dakota Smith and Memphis Monroe as the Earthly incarnation of Aphrodite.

The basic premise of the film is Evan Stone being 'hired' by Bukkwyd and Lee Stone to seek out the greatest treasure known to mankind, “the aphrodisiac.” This premise allowed Tanner to move smoothly in and out of the sex scenes, without the setups seeming contrived. The sex was pretty good over all, but Evan and Lee Stone performed some goofy sexual acrobatics in a couple of the scenes.

The first scene opens with Evan Stone drinking in a cantina with Daisy Marie playing guitar. After she commented on Stone spending all of his money giving her tips for her playing, she decides to repay his kindness the only way a woman can in movies like these. Daisy Marie can suck a mean cock and works Stone like a champ. Evan does a number where he is balancing with one leg on a barstool and the other on a chair, while banging Daisy Marie from behind, and then later getting a teabag from her.

In the next scene while sleeping at a campsite, Lee Stone is visited in the night by two sirens being played by Jasmine Byrne and Missy Monroe. Stone does the strongman trick, by lifting Monroe up into the air and licking her pussy, while being sucked off by Byrne. He then proceeds to give those two mythical ladies of the night one hell of a fucking, taking them both from behind, and then laying flat and pronging Byrne and eating Monroe at the same time. While the two of us are not very familiar with Missy Monroe, we have seen Byrne and Stone before and the two have never failed to deliver a steamy performance. Upon finishing, the two sirens vanish, but not before telling Stone to kill his two partners and then himself, which leads to a comic interlude.

The third scene takes place after the explorers find a magical palace on the other side of a mirror. This scene features Memphis Monroe and Evan Stone as they screw themselves silly on the raised dais in a throne room. The two of them put on one hell of a session: Stone banged Monroe rotten. First off, she sucks Stone off so well that you see him jump and squirm with the pleasure of it. He then returns the favor while Monroe straddles his face on the dais. Finally, he bones her all over the throne room, non-stop until he blows his load all over her face.

All in all, the two of us enjoyed every second of this film. It was one hot and wet romp and any fan of adult films should enjoy this film. Aphrodisiac was one of Hustler Video’s biggest budgeted films and it shows in the presentation. The audio and video quality is tight and the sex was pretty hot, despite being somewhat mundane. Sometimes, all you need to make an adult film fly is some good, old fashioned sex. This one is a keeper and one for any personal adult film library.
