Alpha Blue Studio’s compilation of Susie Nero’s hottest and favorite scenes is quite frankly a mess of a film. Without some degree of narration, there’s no sense of context or explanation as to why certain scenes were picked instead of others, nor is there a sense of continuity between the scenes. The viewer will probably feel as if the film was slapped together, not in an attempt to provide a career retrospective, but to capitalize on Nero’s looks and sex appeal. Unlike Hustler’s College Confessions – and perhaps this is an unfair comparison to a more modern porno film – there’s no clear delineation as to who the cast is for various scenes. I personally found the DVD version of the film to be terribly unfriendly to any user; it was difficult to scroll around to the extremely limited DVD options offered.

Overall I found the film to be a frustrating experience. Many of the chapters inexplicably cut into new chapters as characters are climaxing, or during the middle of dialogue. There is no sense of progression towards any particular objective and the viewer could conceivably rearrange the chapters in any random order and still have the same exact film! The scenes start off somewhere towards the middle as characters are taking off their clothes or about to have sex without any explanation as to how they came to be together. It is almost as if Alpha Blue studios thought the average viewer wouldn’t particularly care one way or another, as long as people are fucking. And sadly the sex isn’t even shot with much intelligence; the dialogue is at times revolting and beyond stupid, and the sound quality and lighting are extremely poor even after digital re-mastering. You can tell that the vignettes were badly dubbed, as there are instances where characters are talking and their mouths aren't moving!

Some of the sex scenes are actually quite hot but it is difficult to concentrate on them with the clichéd 80s porn music in the background and the bad dialogue. The guys come off as sleazy and bit gross, while the women seem to capitulate to everything the guys say and do. Despite the female star on the cover, this world is primarily a male world-- testosterone fueled without much sensitivity. The more I watched the film, the more juvenile it felt. Personally I find cumshots revolting and just plain boring, and the constant shooting off on people and on food didn’t do much for me. What I could say is that the stars of the movie at the very least seem to enjoy the sex; there isn't one instance where you could accuse anyone of cashing it in. But overall, The Susie Nero Collection is a sloppy, thoughtless, mindless mess. It’s a discredit to Nero who explodes an urgent sexual energy that’s hard to ignore.
