| Our goal at the SexHerald film review team is to create reviews that are informative and impartial, but are also lively, entertaining, and idiosyncratic. It's possible to describe porn movies in a very formulaic way. Scene 1: Ron Reamer and Joanne Juicy. Kissing, fellatio, missionary, anal. Cumshot on face, and so forth. A description like that can be useful for the hardcore fan who already knows exactly what sort of material he wants. For anyone else, that sort of stuff is unbearably dull to read. We hope to make SexHerald appealing not just to the dedicated smut consumer but to the first-time buyer or casual browser. We're starting with honest, engaging reviews of the latest sex movies. In the works are a glossary of terms, a director index, and feature articles on the past, present, and future of dirty movies.
The charge we have given our reviewers is to write straight-from-the-hip, honest reactions to the films that come across their desks while always keeping in mind the need for objectivity -- one viewer's ceiling is another's floor. We even have a system of checks and balances to assure our readers of accurate reviews and ratings. Rather than holding to one standard of what is the best way to make a dirty motive, we try to celebrate the diversity of the field. This may seem like a tall order, and it is. But the team we have been building continues to rise to this challenge. This approach is a combination of liberty and responsibility, and we feel it is the best way to build credibility with our readers.
In coming months, we will be growing the ranks of the film team to keep up with the mushrooming volume of adult film that lands on our doorstep. Expect to see big changes as we develop our site that's not just useful and authoritative, but entertaining as well.
