The movie opens with some jerky footage of the gay bar in question: a smoky, dark place with a neon cigarette sign and a handsome-enough clientele. There are several couples about, but between the couple leaning against the bar, some cock comes out, (maybe it’s not against the house rules) and so before things get too hot, they retire to the men’s room – how romantic! – for blowjobs by the urinal. The pale lighting is unforgiving and there’s nothing I like less than the look of someone sucking a flaccid dick (it looks like he’s eating it) and the whole long scene is passionless, the opposite of what this particular restroom fuck promised to be.

Mercifully, the next two performers are a bit more convincing. An editing trick shows us that the film’s four scenes are meant to be unfolding simultaneously, which helps shed some light on the title. Still, it’s a meaningless conceit. All that matters is the sex itself. The second couple is more deliberate than the first, and the kissing and sucking are sufficient to actually arouse the performers, which is crucial in a successful porn flick. I thought this scene skipped to the anal stuff a bit quickly, but it was still relatively sexy.

The third scene keeps up the pace nicely but the fourth and final scene blows it entirely. The couple in the last scene is fucking in an entirely different bar and yet again there’s another shot of someone sucking a soft dick. I wondered how the actors were ever going to come (don’t worry, they do) but unfortunately, the movie’s close is pretty much what the dismal opening scene was: half-hearted and kind of boring. While overall there are some nice moments – those so inclined will love the close-ups on the mouths full of cum – this production is at best tepid, and it is not the kind of movie you’ll want to watch over and over again. Fear not: you’ll definitely get off, but you might spend more time wondering (as I did) just where this action-packed bar is than anything else. ANightattheGayBar
