There's a genre of porn I like to call "desert island porn." No, the action doesn't happen on a desert island; and no, it's not the porn I'd most like to see if stranded on a desert island. What I mean by "desert island porn" is the kind of porn that hey, if I were stuck on a desert island, it wouldn't be too bad. But under normal viewing conditions, it's highly skippable.

2 Chicks 1 Dick is desert island porn. There's nothing terrifically wrong with it, but then, there's nothing particularly good about it either. And it commits the cardinal sin of adult entertainment -- it's boring.

The DVD consists of six episodes of, as the title suggests, threesomes involving two women and one man. There is little talking in any of the episodes and no music, which is fine because the sound quality is poor. In the few instances there is talking, it's muffled and echo-y.

The men and women are, for the most part, good to look at and some of the episodes aren't too bad. The best -- and longest -- is "Stella & Gabby." In the story, Stella and Gabby take their car into the garage for repairs. But something about their fishnet stockings and stilettos suggests that they're looking for more than an oil change. The girls are helped out by a hunky garage guy and reward him by giving him a lube job of his own.

The episode works for a couple of reasons. First off, the garage guy has a fantastic body -- he's built and well-hung. He contorts the girls into a variety of positions with ease. And the camera angles in the episode are very good -- some shots from below that focus close up on penetration. The episode's hottest moment is when garage guy is on his back and Stella and Gabby simultaneously ride him and straddle his face -- very nice.

I couldn't accurately review this DVD if I didn't acknowledge its strangest episode, "Lisa & Veronica." First of all, it's set in a bowling alley, generally a locale I'd consider the antithesis of sexy. Then there's the odd conversation that opens the piece. One of the vixens orders a pina colada and the other orders an orange juice. Then there's some strange peer pressure about drinking that segues into an anti-drunk driving message. It's like an X-rated afterschool special. Too, too weird.

The rest of the episodes are pretty standard threesome fare, and there's lots of oral but no anal. The action gets repetitive, and the final episodes feel like mere tack-ons -- no new sets or actors, and zero creativity. The "extras" that the DVD promises are merely commercials for other CinemaPlay productions. Nothing very "extra" about that.

So unless you're heading out for a 3-hour tour that you suspect may go awry, you can skip 2 Chicks 1 Dick, and find a more interesting way to spend your porn-buying dollars. 2Chicks1Dick
