The ability to overcome a fear when confronted with it is the heart of courage. Perhaps there are people out there who honestly enjoy the taste of tequila but for the most part drinking a shot of tequila is an act of courage. Don’t believe me? Think I’m a liar? Look around next time you’re in a bar. See how many people you can find making their stand with tequila. If you can, find anyone openly fear them and quietly sneak away. Life’s too short.
With that in mind tequila also has its uses. A group shot of tequila brings an air of excitement to the moment. But not all tequilas are equal and even those who have the courage would still rather have it go as smooth as possible. That is what makes Patron Silver such a magnificent tequila.
The Patron Silver bottle is unique in that no two bottles are alike. Each bottle is individually handmade by a master glassmaker. The squat box shaped bottles are also washed in tequila before they are filled and individually numbered so that each and every bottle is in some way a collectible.
Patron Silver has a very nice citric aroma. Hints of lime are the most prevalent scent riding on top of a solid agave body. The smell is also quite fresh. There is no sense of any kind of artificial flavoring.
The look of Patron Silver is very clear and it pours smoothly without a lot of splash. It looks good, it smells good and it’s very nicely packaged but the best part of all is the taste.
If there ever was a tequila that works purely as a sipping tequila, it’s Patron Silver. It goes down very smooth for a tequila as the taste buds focus on the citrus flavors instead of the alcohol. As it passes down the throat and into the stomach, a pleasant burn warms wherever the tequila has touched. It’s not a momentary warming, either; it’ll stay in your belly for quite some time. To make it even easier to drink, have it chilled but it is by no means necessary as it is very nice warm.
The downside is there is a price to pay for such a smooth tequila. Patron Silver is more expensive but you do get what you pay for and unlike many premium tequilas, Patron Silver is easily found in most bars. PatronSilver
