Sex Herald: Why did you decide to switch from working in front of the camera to working behind the scenes in marketing?

Tiana Lynn : I started working at the offices [at Elegant Angel] in—November it’ll be two years. So, I’ve been kind of doing a little bit of everything here. Marketing took up a little bit more of my time. You know, you start work at six in the morning and you end at five, six at night. Basically, I was shooting scenes on my only free time off and honestly, I had the office on my mind the whole time. It was just kind of weird; the whole time I just wanted to get back to the office. I liked what I did. And, I wanted my mind to be clear. It just wasn’t possible. And, I didn’t want to be out shooting scenes when I got my customers calling. The whole time I had 10 million things going on at the office, so it was really hard for me to focus. The day I realized that was when I decided to be done.

SH:Your official off-camera date was in January. Do you plan on directing any movies?

Lynn: I haven’t started directing yet. Not sure if I’m going to. But, I’ll be behind the camera.

SH: How did you break into marketing and what attracted you to that position?

Lynn: I like to have more of a consistent schedule. Given I was shooting like everyday but it was different times each day. And, I kind of just needed stuff to do. So, I wanted to work for Patrick [Collins]. There wasn’t anything for me to do but I found stuff to do, whether it was working with advertising files, doing the database. I was still shooting for other companies then but I kind of felt like I was cheating on my company. So, we worked out a contract and I ended up going on full time here and getting insurance and benefits and all that stuff. And my tax got paid for, so that was pretty cool. [Laughs] So, I decided to film all my scenes down to three a month and just stay at the office. I don’t know; I wanted to learn everything.

SH: As a national sales manager, what are some of the goals you’ve set for yourself?

Lynn: I’m working on getting Elegant Angel out to more of the music stores, like Virgin, video stores, like Fry’s electronics. Brand our name in the mainstream market is one of my goals.

SH: Do you participate in signing up new contract girls?

Lynn: I was kind of one of the first actual contact girl. We’ve done contracts before but they lasted a month or so. I am looking for a new contract girl just because I do care about this company and I would like there to be a face of the company. Me, personally, I can’t make it to all the parties, I can’t make it to all the signings, and I’m not shooting anymore. So, I would like to send a girl out there that can really represent Elegant Angel. But, I also want someone who has their priorities straight, their goals in mind and make sure they’re in it for the right reasons. A girl who comes to me and says they’re in it for the money, then no that’s not our goal. We’re about girls having fun. I also look for punctuality. I notice a girl who shows up on the set and signings on time, no complaints, not always sick, I definitely will have an eye out.

SH: What do you think sets Elegant Angel apart from the other studios?

Lynn: The #1 thing Elegant Angel focuses on is the girl having a real orgasm. You got the hardcore gonzo companies that shoot whatever it is that’ll make a girl cry just to get a REAL reaction out of them because people want the truth. In the interviews, we ask the girls what turns you on, who turns you on, we put it together, we give them some toys to prep themselves beforehand. And, we don’t ask them to switch positions. We tell them to do whatever it is to get off.

SH: Do you ever miss shooting films?

Lynn: Um, I don’t know. I kind of left three years ago to regroup. And, I wasn’t done. This time, I feel like I’m done. It’s a good feeling. Instead of running back in three months, I know that that part’s done and I want to learn something new now. Just try it all.

SH: How did you get your first start?

Lynn: I started off modeling lingerie. Then my agent found someone in Tucson who sent me out to California and I just wanted to try it. I figure why not try it when I’m young instead of wondering when I’m 40 years old, ‘Hmm, I wonder if that’s something I could have done.’ It’s actually, ‘Hmm, why not try it at 18 and then once I’m 21 will go into accounting or something.’

SH: I understand it that Cytherea was your mentor on the path to being a well-known “squirter.” Tell me about that.

Lynn: I had done it [female ejaculation, or “squirting”] when I was 18 years old and then I met a girl named Cytherea over here at Elegant Angel. Basically, she took me home that day and we all started practicing from there. I didn’t really know how to hit it myself; I never really knew how it happened the first couple of times.

SH: Describe some of your practice sessions.

Lynn: A lot of the squirters in the business, I learned, had gotten a kegel master, which helps you work your PC [pubococcygeus] muscles, so that when you do get that “feeling” you flex your muscles and it shoots. A lot of us when we start out, we sprinkle a little bit and then it gets larger and larger and it builds faster and faster. Sometimes, it’s once an hour and then all of a sudden you’re doing it every five minutes ‘cause your muscles are so strong it can react to it. It’s just a muscle and it starts shooting further and further. So, a kegel master helps a lot.

SH: What’s the farthest you ever squirted?

Lynn: You know, I’m not really sure. I’ve never been one to measure distance or anything. I was more so, ‘Okay, I’m gonna get off, I don’t care where it goes.’ That was more me. I know there’s a lot of competition on going further or going in volume.

SH: Out of the minimum 120 films listed in your resume, tell me which were the most enjoyable to shoot?

Lynn: My best movies, I think, wereCum Rain Cum Shine 1 & 2. The first one was the first movie I ever got to put together with Elegant Angel. So, I was actually featured in it, I got to pick the talent, pick the scenarios and tell them about my fantasies. It’s always exciting when you get your first featured movie. And then Cum Rain Cum Shine 2, I couldn’t wait to do it. A lot of people had requested it and I got to kind of take it to a new level. I even did anal in that one. And, I think you can just really see my enthusiasm in it.
