SexHerald: I’ve been talking to Joe Wilson all day about 3 rd Degree, Black Ice and Zero Tolerance, and the question I’d like to put to you is… (Pinky enters singing ‘…baby I got your money…’) Music videos use adult performers, adult videos use rap tracks … do you think this will produce a new type of video?

Roxy: Definitely, I do think it will open up new doors for adult performers just like rappers are doing mainstream movies…

Cherokee: I agree, because, just like you said, they’re using us in their productions, and eventually it’s going to open up more doors.

SH: So, do you think that it’s sort of expected now when you approach the industry, that one day you will see your face show up on MTV?

Cherokee: Right now, I’m just trying to get as much out of it as I can while I’m hot, but as far as me crossing over, as far as MTV is concerned? If need be, for example, if I’m crossing over [to the music industry] if it happens, it’s great!

Pinky: Well, I have sort of a different view, because hip-hop culture has infected everything you see and sex always sells. My objective is to have a mainstream rapper featured on my porno video/music video. The ones I’ve done are really fun because when they edit it together it looks really good, so as far as me featuring on other people’s stuff, as long as they pay me well, and treat me well it’s all good, but my thing is getting people to do stuff on my joint instead of me being on theirs.

SH: There seems to be a trend of adult stars getting into the business, performing for a few years, then breaking away and forming their own company. Do you see yourselves doing that in the future?

Roxy: It’s my opinion that it’s the best move to start a company under your name when you start anything, get your face licensed, get your name licensed…

Pinky: I’ve been doing mainstream since June…

SH: Define mainstream for us.

Pinky: Doing scenes with companies that are already established, already in the stores…

Roxy: She uses mainstream because, she had her own company and was doing scenes before she even started getting out. She wanted to be a porn star, so she put her mind to it and came up with a plan. Whereas me, I come from a church background, and I’m a college student and needed money for tuition, so I kind of fell into it, and there’s no way for me to pull back. So I’m gonna finish school, finish my degree, do a couple of shows because I’m not going to have this body forever, and then eventually push it to another girl and just have my name all over the box—Double ‘R’ productions, just like Pinky was saying. But promotion is a bitch, you have to be out on the road, you have projects you’re trying to finish, but you can’t finish them because you’re getting booked, you have to make that money, and it’s hard to get a team because it’s hard to trust people out here.

Pinky: I put out Pinky’s Sexual Adventure Parts 1 and 2, and I was selling them hand to hand out in San Francisco for like $40 a pop, then I had a free website where you can view my clips and pictures, PinkyXXX.com just came out the day after Thanksgiving, I gave away about 2,200 free demo DVDs in Vegas at AVN when I signed for TT Boy, and my website membership tripled, and I just got a distribution deal with Black Market, so I’m still doing all my production independently. My first release will be out probably a month from now, it’s called Tons o’ Buns, it’s a girl-girl feature, straight-up hardcore. [On my site], I do a lot of guys with big dicks that make me cry, and so in return I use my strap-on to make the girls cry.

SH: Let’s follow that a little bit. Are there specific things that, if a director came in the room and said ‘do this…’ that you wouldn’t be able to do?

Cherokee: I won’t piss on someone. I just don’t get anything out of it so I don’t see the point.

Roxy [with a pained expression]: I won’t do double anal.

Pinky: There isn’t really anything that I would say I won’t do, I just want to save some tricks for my productions, for my release on my DVD so I can get the full potential of income from it, you know? I haven’t done any anal scenes yet, even though I’ve been offered up to $1,700 over my normal rate for a boy-girl scene. I haven’t done it really because I’m not ready to let that out on my line—Royalty Entertainment—but when I do, I’m going to start with a smaller size…

Roxy [chuckling]: Right, Brian Pumper compared to Mandingo ! [all laugh]

SH: So, now that we’ve named some names, are there favorite performers that you all like to work with?

Cherokee: Oooohh, Justin Slayer or Wesley Pipes!

Roxy: Mr. Marcus…Nat Turner

Pinky: People I like to work with are people I have good energy with, people like Richard Mann—don’t sleep!—Byron Long, Charlie Mack, I’ve only done one scene with Mandingo and my pussy was so tight so I want a rematch, Rico Strong, CJ Wright, strong performer, he’s coming up…

SH: Last question, for Cherokee, I just read on your website that you were at the NBA All-Star weekend.

Cherokee: I danced at Pleasures out there, danced with my cousin Eternity, there was so much going on out there, and there were so many ball players, but it was too much going on for me, it was like I danced and I was ready to go! But it was real cool, people came out and supported…
