Imagine you visit your childhood home after fifteen years. You greet your grandmother and some people who claim to be childhood friends of yours. They don't look familiar, so you express to them how sorry you are but you don't remember any of them. They then proceed to beat the snot out of you ... these are friends?!
Koihime is an amusing tale. The story is easy to pick up and and maintains the viewers interest with a plot that becomes more and more cryptic as the action progresses. The animation is done in a manga style that compliments the humorous undertone of the story.
One thing you really don't pick up on is the voice characterizations of Kobe Tai and Houston, the two porn actresses lending their vocals to this piece. With no real distinction in their voices they didn't really bring anything new to the video. Were their characters not identified ahead of time I wouldn't have known the difference.
Still, Koihime holds the viewer's attention with amusing story, plot twists (although they're actually a bit predictable), and tantalizing sex scenes. Yes, there was sex amongst the dialog, and it was good. Each scene is a bit short, but good none the less. But short, let's not overlook
that. But good ... good and short. Okay, moving on.
Other than the amorous animation, this story brings demons and princesses, lies and deceit, and of course what we all came to see (or rather saw and then came): graphic hardcore sex!
Apparently the calm, taciturn
little village is a hotbed of demons and spirits and now Musashi (our hero) finds himself thrown into the maelstrom and his life in in danger. How did he get into so much trouble? Through having sex. How can he get out of trouble? Through having more sex.
Hmm...well, at least they're consistent, I'll say that for them. In the end, to get out of the pickle his pickle got him into in the first place, Musashi must have sex with the unconscious ice princess and save the town.
Koihime brings the touching story of Musashi and his four horny stalkers, uh ... I mean friends. It's an enjoyable story overall and the message of 'if you love something, set it free' that the video presents would make it a good wholesome film were Musashi not tapping some ass all over the village. I'd have greatly liked to see more sex and better voice casting(since they made a point to emphasize it so much) but other than that this is a solid romance anime. Koihime
