Celebrity sex videos are a huge seller for porn producers; that’s why they’ve sold millions of DVDs featuring the candid sexual adventures of Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and even Jimi Hendrix (allegedly). The appeal is the intimacy: a peek into a private world that perverts like us aren’t supposed to see. That selling point got turned on its head with the sex tape of World Wrestling Federation diva Chyna.
Although 2004’s 1 Night in China was marketed as another ‘leaked’ sex video, the statuesque wrestler actually filmed and marketed the ‘secret’ sex tape specifically to cash in—and it worked! 1 Night in China became 2006’s bestselling porn DVD. Naturally, Red Light District and Chyna recognize a good thing when they see it, which is why we’ve got Another Night in China—a cynical attempt to double-dip into the pockets of porn-hungry fans.
Another Night in China boasts an hour of ‘unseen footage’ featuring the Amazonian Chyna getting fucked by former boyfriend (and costar of 1 Night in China) Sean Waltman.
Like Hollywood sequels, the bar has been raised with Another Night. This time, there’s clearly a third person filming the action, which makes a mockery of the whole ‘leaked sex tape’ concept. However, the onscreen action is explicit and Chyna does have a simply stunning body. She gets the opportunity to make the most of it, too, with some acrobatic sex positions and a devastating pole-dance sequence.
Despite upping the ante in terms of production values, Another Night is actually a bit of a letdown when it comes to the sex. The original DVD featured a climactic anal sequence which was sizzlingly sexy. This time, Chyna’s tush stays strictly off limits, although Sean does blow a load over it in the opening sequence and later cums inside her thirsty cunt (which Chyna samples with her long fingers).
The first two scenes are solid. The third seems a bit ‘tacked on,’ with an astonishingly different filming style that reeks of professional porn production. With hair and makeup worthy of Tera Patrick, Chyna’s final sequence wouldn’t look out of place in a mainstream porno movie, totally destroying the (already shaky) illusion of authenticity.
But as a package, Another Night in China holds together pretty well. At heart, we’re all star fuckers, so it’s titillating to see a formerly ‘vanilla’ celebrity get down and dirty, even if there’s something a bit cynical about the whole thing. Plus, Chyna’s got a big, beautiful, body that deserves to be seen in all its naked glory. And Red Light District aren’t stingy; in addition to Chyna’s sexual exploits, they throw in a bonus disk featuring five scenes from other movies, including a red-hot anal scene with the yummy Bree Olsen.
As far as it goes, I’d recommend Another Night in China for frustrated star-fuckers and kinky couples everywhere. What the DVD lacks in sex-tape authenticity, it more than makes up for by delivering adequate lighting, steady camerawork and explicit close-ups (the areas most homemade porn fall flat on).
