One of the most important things J. Kaleh learned while attending journalism school was that readers (listeners or viewers) respond to stereotypes, and the journalist should learn to know them. It is the job of the journalist to take a careful look at his/her subject, make all factors known, and help foment public understanding and discourse. Something else that he learned in school was that stereotypes used in pornography are grossly outdated and are making sex (and the actors) look bad.
