SexHerald: First, tell me about Sick Girls Need Sick Boys, your directorial debut for DVSX.

Mofo: It's been doing really good. I wrote it, I cast it, I directed it. Me and Kemo, the Blaxican, did the score together to the movie. I believe there are four or five different songs that we put together to kind of match the scenes. It's just really good and it's kind of unique in the sense. I mean, I know it's still a porno but the set-ups and the ending are what make it unique because there are six vignettes, six different stories, that are to me very original and very different from each scene. The way I made the video is each scene is more intense.

By the time you get to the fourth scene, which is called Bound For Love, that's more into the whole bondage kind of scene. I kind of wanted it to be a scary scene, too. When you see the mo vie you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. And then the fifth scene, which is called The Assassins , I want to mention that that scene is a tribute to Go Go, the girl in Kill Bill Volume 1, the Japanese schoolgirl. Well in this scene, this was supposed to be her half-Japanese, half-Mexican cousin. Her name is Demonia played by Giana Lynn who's kind of a new porn star. She's really, really hot. She's kind of a mix of Asian, Hawaiian and some other things. She's very exotic-looking and a hot performer and she's a great girl, too.

SH: How long did it take you to make this film?

Mofo: This was an actual six-day shoot. Each scene took a day only because there is very little dialogue but there is dialogue. As a director and as a clothing designer I'm very picky about the way I want things to look.

For instance, the last scene which is my favorite scene called For My Ass Lovers, stars Tiffany Mynx and Flower Tucci who have two of the greatest asses on this planet, the opening of that scene is Flower and Tiffany getting out of a truck and slamming the door. We did that probably 30 times because there was a certain way I wanted them to slam the door. Just a certain turn of the hand would add so much more intensity to the movement.

SH: Are you a perfectionist?

Mofo: Yeah. Just ask my wife; I'm a pain in the ass. That's just how I am when it comes to visual things. I'm also that way with my clothing line. And then the movie is filled with Mofo Wear. Every scene, somebody is wearing Mofo Wear. Even that, that was kind of a difficult thing once I started shooting it. To me there's a very thin line between what I call cool and commercial. That was the main thing I wanted to do because I also did the camera. But when I was shooting I was always very concerned about not showing, that it wasn't obvious that I was trying to show my clothing.

That was a thin line sometimes because I think a lot of times the business side wants to take over the artistic side but you can't let that happen. Sometimes I care more about being artistic first than business. That’s what I was trying to do when I was shooting the movie. Yeah the clothes are there but not really. You see them, you see glances of it, like the girls they take them off and you go, "Was that Mofo Wear or it wasn't?" But the clothing did add a lot to each scene in the movie because you really don't see clothing like that in porn, period.

SH: Describe your Mofo Wear line for someone who hasn't seen it?

Mofo: Very adult-themed related clothing that is designed to express a certain statement but in a way where you can still wear it out. When I'm designing my clothes on the computer, what I always do is, "What is the most shocking thing that I can design but that you can still wear to Disneyland. There are a lot of clothing lines that say "Fuck you,” and that's pretty cool but where can you wear that? A lot of my clothes you can still wear to a quinceanera , around your family on the weekends.

If you have a shirt that says "Suck my cock," where you going to wear that to? That's what I didn't want to do with my clothing line. I still wanted to express some of my political and social stances on things, but in a way where the most people could see it as possible. A lot of people have asked me recently, "How come you don't you make your site a porn site? You would make so much money." I tell them that's the whole point, I never wanted it to be a porn site. I want everyone to look at it. I want you to be able to look at my website at work, at school, anywhere. That's why there's no nudity on the site.

SH: The adult in dustry has really gotten behind you and given you their support. H ow did your inv olvement with porn come about?

Mofo: The porn industry has shown me so much love especially AVN. Right from the beginning, AVN has really promoted me. I've never advertised in AVN. I have never really paid a dollar to AVN for anything. They have just been really, really cool with me and supportive because they know the clothing line supports the porn industry. So that's why they don't mind helping me out and that's why the Mofo Wear girls don't mind helping me out. The Mofo Wear girls don't get paid. All these girls do this because they believe in the clothing line and they believe in me. And its that combination that makes them want to help me out and stick with me too.

SH: Who would you like to have as your next Mofo Wear girl?

Mofo: That would be, without a doubt, Janine. I think she is the shit. She's got a cool look, I know her, we've hung out a couple of times and she's just cool. She fits the Mofo Wear girl. We've actually talked about and I think we might be doing something at AVN. But she would be at the top of my list. She would maybe be my first con tract girl to be a Mofo Wear girl.

SH: What in your opinion makes a good porn?

Mofo: It has to be something that you can jerk off to. That's where a lot of times directors make a mistake sometimes that they forget it's about the sex. That's why I made my storylines short and fast. In every scene, the dialogue parts are very quick. In Flower Tucci and Tiffany Mynx ' scene there is no dialogue. It's just a cool set-up. When I rent a porno, I bring it home to jerk off to. So I really don't care what they're saying. When I look for porn, I look for the hottest girl on the cover, I come home and go to that scene with her in it. That to me is what a great porn is. What I wanted to do with my porn was I wanted to make the sex great but with a cool look to it. That's why there's a setup in the beginning and then a crazy ending, and the music and the clothing. That's what I wanted to do with my porno was to have a great fucking hot sex porno but with a really cool look and sound.
