It's
not always easy to bridge between the banquet and the bedroom. Ending
the meal with sexy sweets is a good path to follow. What with all
that licking, sucking, and lip smacking involved in delicious desserts,
more than your mouth may water. Aphrodisiac desserts can satisfy
some cravings while wetting others. High quality ingredients and
a culinary creativity may be all you need build your bridge to bliss.
Here is a sampling of ingredients and desserts that can be used
to sweeten romance and put that extra lick of lust in your relationship:
Fresh Fruits:
Strawberries & Raspberries:
These berries are perfect for hand-feeding your lover. Both are
not only high in vitamin C, but they are considered fruits of love.
They are both described in erotic literature as "fruit nipples".
Banana: The chemical ingredients of bananas consist
of certain minerals and enzymes that have been said to improve male
libido. The pleasure of preparing desserts may very well be enhanced
by working with the phallic banana.
Fresh Pineapple: Tangy, sweet, and succulent pineapple
is another noted aphrodisiac. It has even been used as part of the
treatment for impotence. It's quite delicious and high in
vitamin C.
Cherries: Even the name is sexy. These sweet little
gems are noted as an aphrodisiac food, especially for women.
Apricots: This sexy little fruit got its reputation
as an aphrodisiac in China, where apricots are thought of as erotic
symbols by many Chinese cultures.
Naughty Nuts:
Almonds and walnuts are considered symbols of fertility. In ancient
Roman culture, these nuts were used in fertility ceremonies. It
is written that the Romans tossed walnuts, rather than rice at newlyweds.
Many nuts, including brazil nuts, almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts
are high in zinc, which has been known to aid male sexuality
Chocolate Charge and Vanilla Vroom :
Chocolate: Chocolate has been intermingled with
love and sex for centuries. It has been thought of as an aphrodisiac
since approximately 600 A.D. Its reputation began in South America,
as both the Mayans and Aztecs considered chocolate to hold aphrodisiac
powers. It is said that Montezuma (the Aztec emperor) drank fifty
golden goblets of melted chocolate a day to enhance his sexual dexterity.
Chocolate is known to increase serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin
is a happy chemical; it can make a direct change on a person's
mood, and sometimes a person's libido. Chocolate can gently
stimulate the central nervous system. It contains amphetamine-like
chemicals which are similar to the pheromones the body produces
when we're in love.
Vanilla: Vanilla is smooth, clean, and can act
as a euphoric. The scent of vanilla alone is often enough to stimulate
both the male and female libido. When consumed, vanilla, like chocolate,
can aid the central nervous system.
Exciting Eggs:
Eggs are part of sexual reproduction, therefore,
they are said to work as an aphrodisiac. Some say that drinking
raw chicken eggs before sex acts as an enhancer. It is uncertain
if eggs used in baking helps any, but it's worth a try.
Seductive Spices:
Nutmeg: Nutmeg has a complex aroma that excites
the senses. In small amounts nutmeg is a traditional aphrodisiac.
It is recommended to use this spice in extreme moderation. Nutmeg
contains myristicin, which is related to mescaline, a psychedelic;
in large doses, nutmeg may cause hallucinations.
Clove: Eating cloves to increase libido is a trick
passed down through the ages. This is a delicious and fragrant spice
that may also improve breath and boost energy. Like most aphrodisiac
spices, the aroma alone can be a turn-on.
Ginger: Another flavorful, fiery spice that can
add a jump to your love life. Ginger has been noted as a powerful
aphrodisiac. This pungent aphrodisiac herb can help soothe the throat,
and cleanse the system. The scent of ginger can be a sexual enhancer,
especially for men.
Cinnamon: Sweet but stimulating, cinnamon increases
blood flow. Cinnamon is a classic aphrodisiac spice. The scent of
cinnamon can be powerfully attractive to both men and women.
Tops and Bottoms Up:
Honey: Honey has some aphrodisiac kick due to its
rich B vitamin and amino acid content. This sweet, sticky substance
is great in recipes, but it's also fun to lick off.
Champagne: Champagne is called the "drink
of love." It is symbol of extravagance, festivity, and romance.
Whipped Cream: Despite its lack of aphrodisiac properties, whipped
cream remains a favorite sex food. It is fun and playful. Lick some
out of your lover's belly button and use your imagination
from there.

Recipes:
Vanilla Vamp
Vanilla/Strawberry Ice Cream with Chocolate Chunks.
For this recipe you will need an ice cream maker. Many are relatively
inexpensive and can give you years of use.
Ingredients
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup fresh sliced Strawberries
1/4 cup chocolate chunks
1 1/2 inch piece vanilla bean split lengthwise
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons real vanilla extract
Makes about 11 1/2 cup servings
Preparation
Mix cream and milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the
vanilla
bean and heat until the blend is almost at a boil then reduce the
heat to low. Beat the eggs yolks with the sugar and vanilla extract
in a bowl until it is a light yellow color and smooth. This should
take 1-2 minutes. Add 4 tablespoons of the hot cream/milk mixture
and stir until completely mixed. Slowly add the egg yolk mixture
to warm cream/milk mixture, stirring continuously to keep the eggs
from curdling. Cook over low heat until slightly thickened, and
the mixture coats the back of a spoon, ( about 3 to 4 minutes).
Turn off heat and let the mix cool completely. Once cool, scrape
of the seeds from vanilla bean. Add in the chocolate and strawberries.
Mix well. Pour into the freezer bowl of your ice cream maker and
turn the machine on. Let mix until thick, (20-25 minutes). You may
then put the ice cream into an air tight container and place in
the freezer until firm, (about 2 hours).
May be fed to your lover straight up or eaten with enchanting chocolate
cake or spicy bread (see below).
