Penthouse Variations Ball Bangers
Reviewed by M. Walansky

When it comes to my toy chest and my sex life in general, I’m not a naïve girl. I know what I like, and I know how to use things so that I like it more. It’s been a long time since I’ve been encountered with an object and I wasn’t sure exactly what to do with it…and then there were the ball bangers.

Ball bangers are two silver spheres that you plug into your jackhammer apparatus, and then vibrate according to your liking. It comes with a multitude of intensity speeds, and because it is attached to Penthouse’s jackhammer, it can be easily used in conjunction with other Penthouse products.

The idea is to use the four variable speeds to “bang” the metal “balls” against your clit, until you find the right level of pressure and intensity to reach your peak of pleasure. Okay. I get that. However, you may be dismayed to discover that mild and intense don’t feel all that different with this product, and while the banging balls is nice, I’d have to be having a seriously randy moment to have even an iota of a chance to get off using this product alone. Quite honestly, I’ve been more turned on simply reading a naughty erotica novel while sitting on the subway during rush hour.

However, if you are already extra horny, and use it in conjunction with your other toys, it isn’t a bad warm-up tool—just, on your own, you’re not going to get very far.

The care instructions are pretty standard: just remove the batteries (you’ll need 2 AA batteries, which are not included in the package) and wash with soap and water.

This is not a BAD product. I can’t say it caused any discomfort or killed the moment or anything quite that dire. It just didn’t really do much to improve it. And as for couple play... well, it doesn’t really add much in that situation anyway. Except for confusion, and “Well, maybe if we try it here? Or there?” Eh. Still, meh. Not really. However, if you are looking to add some fun into your play—well, the experimenting and attempting is all part of the play, ain’t it?
