When I think of a “celebration of beauty and sensuality,” my vibrator doesn’t pop in my head. But then again, I’ve yet to join the bandwagon of women purchasing luxury sex toys. So when I was handed the Onye’ Black vibratomasseur, I was very interested to see what all the hype was about.
The first thing I noticed about the Onye’ was that presentation is everything. A sleek black box with small white and purple writing gave me the impression this was something that could be sold not only as an “adult novelty” in an adult store, but also in a grown up store, like Saks Fifth Avenue. When I got it home and opened the box, I was greeted by a black satin carrying case. Once opened, I found the 4 ½ inch long Onye’ resting in purple satin lined bedding. It definitely felt like the vibrator was presenting itself to me and I felt honored especially after I found the user manual.
When was the last time a sex toy came with instructions on maintenance, care, and use? I learned all about the materials used for this stainless steel silicone toy that is phthalate and latex-free. Not only that, but I saw the other color (white/pink) and toy options for this luxury line. Finally, there was information on the 90-day warranty and how to assemble and clean my toy. Maybe this is the equivalent for some women to buying a new car. The color was a brilliant black that looked shiny and felt smooth. Lined with silver details and a band of silicone grip around the top, reminded me of a Mercedes Benz.
Already impressed by the presentation, I needed to see if this toy had what it took to get me off. Marketed as having 8 modes of vibration, 5 that are pulsating/throbbing, and 3 different speeds, I had some high expectations. After finding 3 AAA batteries (not included), I had a difficult time putting the vibrator back together and getting it working. It took a few tries, but finally, when I pressed the silicone silver lined button at the top, I was impressed with the intense vibration that almost made my hand numb; and that was the lowest vibration setting.
To move through the settings I had to push the button a bit harder than I expected, which kind of interrupted my flow. It was a great addition to all stages of my play with and without my partner. The fact that there were no cheesy images, made my partner all the more open to exploring it with me. The silicone grip around the center is genius! No matter how wet we got, neither of us had a hard time holding onto the toy.
Some things to keep in mind include: this toy is loud; I mean it takes 3 AAA batteries; it’s going to make some noise. If you are into using condoms with your sex toy this one will be hard to fit as it’s too small for the batch of condoms I had available. Finally, although splash proof, it’s not waterproof.
Overall, I will definitely keep using this on a regular basis, not only for sex play but also for kegel exercises. Small, compact, and strong vibrations in a stunning package are eloquent. Although, I can’t imagine it in the white/pink combination because the black/silver is so sleek! OnyeBlack
