Question of the day: Can your inner dominatrix be truly intimidating when the weapon of choice is flirty pink with cut-out hearts?
Maybe, it all depends what rocks your boat, but if you are me…maybe not. Still, experimenting is an essential part of the game of role play, and if you are going to play, playing cute may not be a bad thing.
I like to consider myself something of a fashionista, so I had a bit of trouble—dare I say—restraining myself when I was assigned the task at hand. Grrl Toyz’ pink play/heart paddle lets your spanking be all the cruel you want it to be, and still mighty charming. Its triple-heart raised pattern leaves a pretty mark and the studded 12-inch length tells your subject you mean serious (heart-felt, gushy) business. Along for the ride is the Girl Toyz Pink Play/Erotic Whip, which provides 22 inches of leatherette straps.
These toys do mean business. The whip has a sturdy handle and a wrist cord which helps with great control with the whip, making it malleable to alternative usage options, say if you want to use it to impromptu tie your mate up…and paddle them with the heart-shaped paddle. “Leave a loving impression,” the packaging says. Indeed, you will do exactly that, as your partner and you collapse into a giggling pile of tangled limbs, role play forgotten.
This brings us to the one negative issue with these two toys. It’s very hard to not giggle while pretending to be all BDSM with them. Who can take pink and hearts seriously in such a game? It goes along the same lines as my furry handcuffs and blindfold. Sure, they can be hot and get the job done…but they are so not intimidating.
If you are new to the game of BDSM and want to ease your way into experimentation, this set is a great lighthearted way to get started. You’ll have fun, you’ll make a few memories, and you will get your first taste of a whole new level of naughtiness. But if you are already an aficionado of all things whips and paddles, you probably want to stick to your traditional black leather ensemble. Leave the training wheels for the new guys.
