If Barbie were into sex toys, the pastel pink Hot Spot Hibiscus would probably be buzzing in her nightstand drawer. But then again, Ken’s package was nothing more than some painted on plastic, so homegirl would most likely be pretty willing to jump on anything.
Eden’s heart is in the right place, but sadly, the vibrations are not for this blooming bud. Packaged as a tropical delight for one or two, the Hot Spot Hibiscus is an affordable waterproof vibrator that works on land or in the sea. Or the Hawaiian surf, if you’re the naked couple spooning on the packaging.
The Hot Spot comes in two pieces, the main attraction a latex-free rubber blossom with a protruding spiky center that adds a touch of S&M to an otherwise delicate flower. The rubber is phthalate-free from chemicals, better for your bod and for Mother Nature. Two sets of AG13 batteries are included for the petite two inch Vibrating Love Bullet that fits into the back of the Hibiscus. Adjustable straps are attached to the petals to offer a hands-free alternative. The toy ends up needing a little guidance to finish what it starts so your hands might keep busy.
Usually something that cute should be so simple. Yet upon first open, the Hibiscus is a little confusing. Fumbling with a sex toy is fine if you’re trying out the product when your roommate is out of town. It’s not so sexy if you’re inviting your partner into the ménage a trois. The flower’s spiky bud sticks out from the center as if to promise toe-curling clitoral stimulation. But after first buzz, it does little more than tickle. And unless your sex life is a scene out of a romantic comedy, a gentle tickle won’t lead up to an earth-shattering orgasm.
The straps end up getting in the way so chop them off to give the Hot Spot better access to help you find yours. The Love Bullet is meant to lend some flower power to the front of the toy, but you’ll find that the good vibrations are hidden on the bud’s flipside. The gentler massage on the front of the flower ends up working as a surprisingly sensual nipple stimulator, one of the best and unexpected features to the tropical toy.
Better to start than to finish, an orgasm is most likely only found using the no-frills feature of this wilted blossom. While the Hot Spot Hibiscus is a decent toy for flirty foreplay or wet adventures, there are definitely better ways to get lei’d. EdenWaterproofHotSpotHibiscus
