I’ll be the first to admit glass toys rock my world. Not only do they make an ideal toy, because clean up is easy, but they are often beautifully made and easy to handle. The new addition of adding silicone ticklers to glass toys is an added treat. When I first got the Taffy Tickler Silicone Sugar Glass Dildo home and in my hands, all I could think about was the limitless possibilities of how to use it with myself and with my partners.
Not only is this dildo made of glass, but also it is 7.5 inches in length and 1 inch in width. As with many glass toys, it’s waterproof, does not need batteries, and has four patches of silicone ticklers up and down the shaft. The first thing I noticed were the ticklers, which are light and dark blue. They look like they would have some stiffness to them, and they do, but they are also very flexible. I did notice that the ticklers are wide at the bottom and get thinner in a point at the top. The thinness is almost string-like and I was able to pull some of the thin part off. This made me a bit nervous, as I didn’t want that falling off inside of me. So, I chose to trim the thinness a bit more.
The ticklers are positioned about half an inch from one another, so you have patches of the ticklers then glass, then patch of ticklers. It works well and definitely “scratches the itch.” I also noticed that both ends of the dildo are rounded and not pointed. I liked this because it is slim enough go in either way and for multiple orifices. It’s also made so that you and a partner can use it together and be penetrated at the same time. Although this move may be difficult because it is only 7.5 inches in width, it is possible!
I’m a fan of using condoms with toys, and sometimes this is true with glass toys. However, with this toy, which is so easy to clean (we’ll talk about that in a moment), I went sans condom. Because glass toys allow you to use the lube of your choice, it was an easy call to use my favorite lube. While I was selecting my lube, I put the dildo in the freezer. See glass toys can hold temperature very well, often well enough to heat up to your own body temperature. I like the sensation of feeling the toy warm up inside me when it goes in cold. You can also heat glass toys up as well, although with this toy because it has silicone I’d be careful of the options for heating it up. If you do want to heat up this toy, I’d go with placing it in some hot water and letting it sit for a few moments.
When it comes to cleaning your glass toys it is very simple: warm water and soap. You can even put it in the dishwasher if you want! Glass toys are very versatile and easy to maintain. For me, this makes glass toys extremely accessible for many people.
This toy can be used solo and with a partner. I first used it vaginally, and because it is stiff and not curved, it was best used just for g-spot stimulation. If I put it in too deep, it felt as if I was being poked and not in a good or erotic way. It was more apparent when my partner used it on me vaginally because they don’t know when it starts to feel like a poke, so lots of “ow’s” or “to the left” during that session. For anal action, it was the same technique needed. It felt great going in, but you got to know when to stop or it will start to poke. This was when we realized that if we both used it together, we would limit the extent it got too far in. This worked wonderfully.
I’ll also admit that the ticklers added some friction that I did enjoy, more than I expected. They are also fun for nipple action or any other form of tickling and teasing. Those ticklers come in handy in more ways than one!
