My first sex toy wasn’t a bullet, but it was a gift from a friend. I honestly don’t know what I would have selected for my first sex toy; after all, the Internet, online shopping and reviews were not common or accessible. But I must say that if you haven’t had too much experience with sex toys and want something the get you started, the Secluded Pleasures Kit is for you! With a small bullet vibrator that is about 1-inch long with two sleeves: one pearl colored shell and one blue dolphin completes this kit.
What I think makes this sex toy kit so accessible for the new hedonists is that the bullet is small yet powerful and the sleeves are playful yet effective. Plus, it’s waterproof and 100 percent phthalate-free and comes with one set of watch batteries to get you started (three total). The vibrations of the bullet are intense and consistent for beginners although the sleeves are less than exceptional.
I started with the dolphin sleeve and was as impressed as I could be considering I’ve used tons of other toys that are more my style and speed. The dolphin tail does its job and the two fins add an extra punch for getting to other parts of your body, whether it be your nipples, clit or ass. The pearl seashell has so much potential, but the material it is made from is not very stiff, so I didn’t get off with it.
Yet, there are some troubleshooting issues to keep in mind. I first noticed that when I opened the bullet to check out the batteries, as they come prepackaged in the bullet, that there was a small red disk on top of the batteries. Once I removed it and the paper instructions on how to load the batteries, and screwed the cap back on, I was greeted with intense vibration. The one-button play function was not very successful in shutting the vibe off. It would turn off until I laid it down or turned it over, then it started up again. I can see the batteries draining quite quickly. I suggest taking the batteries out when not using the bullet or they will be dead when you come back for more play.
The sleeves were also a bit difficult to slip onto the bullet. They don’t smoothly slide onto the bullet; it does take a few tries. Definitely figure this out before you begin your play or you may lose your cool. You may also get frustrated, as I did, trying to remove the sleeve to switch it for another. I literally had to fold the sleeves back and push the bullet out from the bottom of the sleeve while it was vibrating to get it out. Not too fun.
If you want a new toy that packs a punch, pass this kit by. For the seasoned hedonist, this bullet may be too small and the sleeves a bit flimsy in comparison to other sleeves. At the end of the day, who doesn’t need a bullet in their stash? I’ve found they usually come in handy depending on your situation and what affect you want.
