Australia is looking at a new political party for the next election—the Sex Party.

The “serious about sex” party intends to gain equal rights in every respect for women, gays, and transsexuals. But they go further than that. Among other things, they also want to reform sex education and scrap the government-proposed mandate on all adult websites (the filter was originally advertised as blocking only child pornography).

The Sex Party already has the prerequisite 500 members and is now going through registration.
If the early election process comes about, with double dissolution leaving all seats fair game (usually only half that are up for reelection), this could be a defining moment, if the Sex Party registers on time.
