In Bucharest, Romania, passengers will catch a ride and a possible striptease for the price of one train fare. Eluding the police, a reportedly “well-dressed, attractive, student-like young woman” strips down to her underwear for cash as Tom Jones’ “You Can Leave Your Hat On” croons from a portable CD player.
Dancing on trains that lack guards or close-circuit televisions, the enterprising woman is frustrating police efforts to find her. After the act, she would redress and pass around a container for donations.
“I can’t say I didn’t like the show but I found it unusual. There are lots of kids who travel by underground and I just don’t think it’s proper,” said George Stancu, a passenger who observed the act.
If caught, the woman will face changes for public indecency and begging.
