James Onello, the general manager for Riverside City, Ohio, is on leave for using city credit cards to pay for $1,100 for a strip club bill. The council has placed him on leave without pay or benefits.
Dayton Daily News reports that detectives working for the Montgomery County Sheriff began investigating a month ago when city officials discovered credit card receipts for the Living Room strip club.
Onello used business requisitions for local public officials and businessmen to cover the strip club fee. No charges have been filed yet; it is still being reviewed by the county prosecutor. Onello owned up to the police regarding the expenses, and the official meetings which did not occur. Onello has stated that his poor decision making was due to his being so beleaguered by his office.
