Born in New York, the housewife Linda Boreman, better known as Linda Lovelace, starred in the 1972 porn Deep Throat, which was barred in 23 states. Even so, the film subsequently made $600 million in revenue.
In the upcoming film Lovelace, to be produced by Blumhouse Production, Courtney Love has agreed to play the part of the porn star who became an icon in the 70s. Her most renowned role came as the most infamous porn publisher, Larry Flynt’s, wife in the 1996 film The People vs. Larry Flynt.
After making the film, Boreman, dead at 53 in a fatal car crash, who declared never saw a penny of the $600 million, led campaigns that decried porn and became an activist for women’s rights. LindaLovelacetoBeMemorializedinFilm,Again
