In the spirit of election year, Hustler mogul Larry Flynt has set out to expose the sex secrets and scandals of Congress by offering a $1 million reward to anyone with the insider knowledge.
Sunday’s Washington Post hosted a full-page ad detailing the exchange of the reward for sound evidence of any sexual encounters with a current government official. Flynt justified his actions by saying, “This is an election year and we have to be careful to elect someone who is going to tell the truth.”
Flynt had made a similar offer in past during the scandal between Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. The shocking offer did not have a major impact on the scandal of the Clinton administration but it did lead to the resignation of House Speaker Bob Livingston.
This time around, Flynt is hoping to expose anybody who may live their political lives decidedly different than their private lives. Flynt has yet to give any specifics of the information he has received other than to say that “80 percent of our leads so far are on Republicans.”
Flynt is keeping his hopes for the success of this investigation in check and admits to only anticipating roughly 2-4 percent of the claims received to hold any truth.
