Austin Powers has already received his warning. The U.S. border patrol is seizing all penis pumps and constricting cockrings. The Food and Drug Administration has declared that penile enlargement devices are unsafe and will be confiscated by border agents.

The FDA is acting on its many safety concerns for any products that deal with the stretching of the penis. Their complaints about penis pumps and its other related products include the risks of ruptured blood vessels and the development of gangrene inside the penis. The FDA deemed all products harmful if they fall into the following four categories: mechanical stretching devices, vacuum-operating devices, constrictive rings and supportive devices.

These products are marketed as tools to help prolong erections and increase the penis’ dimensions; however; the FDA is not buying into the hype.

Any mechanical, penis-stretching devices will now be added to the list of items that can be taken at the border, which include liquid bottles and now laptops. In a court ruling, the 9th Circuit said that searching through a laptop is no different than searching through someone’s luggage if there is a justified suspicion from border agents.

A watchdog group called the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Association of Corporate Travel Executives both filed briefs of their disapproval for how the government acquires its information.
