CNBC, in keeping with their previously successful documentaries on the taboos of marijuana and prostitution, will expound on the porn industry in their next film.
The documentary “Porn: Business of Pleasure,” airs the night of July 15 at 9 p.m., 10 p.m., and 1 a.m. EDT. The show airs again July 17and 19 at 10 p.m.
Melissa Lee reports on the industry, with interviews of the big players, and a look of some of the challenges the industry faces. CNBC seems to have chosen an opportune time for the show, with the HIV scare in California capturing headlines.
CNBC states, “The porn industry has changed technology and can be found in millions of homes, hotel rooms and hard drives across the country. BUT, the business is facing economic challenges. It's under assault and not just from the many critics who see it as socially corroding, degrading to women and a risk to the young.”
CNBC’s Marijuana Inc. was the network’s most viewed documentary. CNBCPornDocumentary
