Afghan ministries are determining what limitations to set on their first fiber-optic cable network, and it is not looking good for pornography, according to Abdul Hadi, communications ministry spokesman.
“We will mainly set limitations on pornography because it does not fit our Islamic values,” said Hadi.
The network is 80 percent completed and will cost $64.5 million in total. It is estimated to drop Internet costs by 90 percent (from $4000 per gigabyte to $400). Afghanistan:TheAnti-Porn
